You will not be vaccinated without your consent.
Autumn 2023 COVID-19 Vaccination
Reservation for Autumn 2023 COVID-19 Vaccination is now available.
Those who have received a ticket (in a purple envelop) will be able to make a reservation.
Eligible individuals:
● Those aged 12 and older, and who have received their 1st and 2nd doses

Distribution of vaccination tickets
To get vaccinated during the Autumn 2023 Vaccination period, a specific vaccination ticket for Autumn 2023 is required. The ticket is delivered by mail in a light purple envelop. When you receive the ticket differs depending on the date of your last vaccination.
If you had your registered address in Fukui city when you received your previous dose, the ticket will be sent to you sequentially.
If you moved into Fukui City after you had received your previous dose in other municipality, you have to apply for the vaccination ticket.

Omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 vaccine (Monovalent)
Vaccination Period
September 20, 2023 – End of March, 2024
※ At least 3 months after receiving the previous dose.
Necessary interval between vaccinations
If you plan to get vaccinated with a vaccine other than the Flu vaccine before or after getting the Omicron-specific vaccine, please be sure to leave a two-week interval between these vaccinations.
The Flu and COVID-19 vaccines may be received without time in between, and may even be taken on the same day.

As soon as the government release information on effectiveness・side effects, it will be posted on this website.
Relief system for the health damages caused by vaccination
Patients may become ill or have adverse after-effects as a result of the vaccine although it is rare.
A relief system based on the Immunization Act has been established for this case.

Vaccination Procedure
(1) An envelope including both a vaccination ticket and a pre-vaccination screening questionnaire arrives in the mail.
The vaccination ticket will be sent to your registered address via regular mail.
For those who have requested mails to be transferred to their designated address, the ticket will be sent to the address.
The ticket will be sent out in a light purple envelop.
(2) Make a reservation for vaccination via online or by calling or visiting the Call Center.
Please refer to the information enclosed in the envelope or “Reservation for vaccination” for details on how to make a reservation.
You will be asked to designate a vaccination venue, date, and time when making a reservation.
Choose the venue from the list of vaccination venues.
Have your vaccination ticket on hand when making a reservation. You will be asked to input your ticket number (10 digits).
(3) Please get vaccinated at the venue on the same date and time as your reservation.
Please bring the following with you when getting vaccinated:
・ Vaccination ticket with a pre-vaccination screening questionnaire
・ Personal Identification (Driver’s license, health insurance card, etc.)
・ Medicine book (if you have)
Please wear clothes in which you can easily expose your shoulder.
※ For those under 15, a guardian’s signature is required on the pre-vaccination screening questionnaire. Vaccination will not be available without it.
Children under 15 must be accompanied by a guardian when getting vaccinated.

If you would like to receive the Novavax vaccine, please make a reservation at the Novavax Vaccination Center operated by Fukui Prefecture.
How to make a reservation
You can make a reservation either online or by calling or visiting the COVID-19 Vaccination Call Center.

Re-issuing vaccination tickets
If your vaccination ticket has been lost or damaged, please apply to have it re-issued.
