Consultation Center for COVID-19

 As of November 1, the Fukui Prefecture official Consultation Center for People with Potential Exposure to COVID-19 has officially changed its name to the Consultation Center for COVID-19.
 In preparation for a possible double epidemic of COVID-19 and the influenza, medical examination procedures have changed slightly to reduce potential exposure to COVID-19 and the seasonal flu. Please confirm the following changes:

≪If you have a family doctor≫
1. Call your family doctor
 If you are not feeling well (i.e. having fever-like symptoms, etc.), call your family doctor. If necessary, the doctor will tell you which medical institution you can visit for a PCR test.

2. Clinic or Medical institution to get tested (PCR test or others)
 Wear a mask when you visit the clinic or facility to get tested, and go alone if possible.
 ※ PCR test expenses are paid by the government. An influenza test expense is partially paid by your health insurance.

【If you are experiencing fever-like symptoms…】
         ★ Refrain from going to school/work and going outside in general
         ★ Measure your temperature every day and keep a thorough record

【For those with the following symptoms, please seek consultation】
         ★ Difficulty breathing, excessive fatigue, high fever or other generally severe
           symptoms
         ★ A slight fever, a dry cough, or cold-like symptoms as an individual where 
                              any illness may become something more severe*

   *  Elderly, diabetics, those with heart failure or respiratory illnesses (COPD), those with 
             preexisting conditions, those on dialysis, taking immunosuppressant drugs (medicine
             that suppresses or reduces the body’s immune system), receiving treatment for cancer,
       etc. fall into this category

    〇 You are experiencing one of the abovementioned symptoms (a slight fever, a dry cough, 
              or cold-like symptoms) despite not having any of the above apply to you
          〇 When going for a medical checkup, be sure to wear a face mask, properly wash your
              hands, and thoroughly follow coughing etiquette.
